The E-lake, or "Open Air", as the three-day-festival is called, is a very special event. It started out as an initiative from the local youth club, wanting to organise  a party to improve its budget. Today it is attended by thousands of people from mainly Luxembourg and Germany. The main features of the festival stayed:

It is organised locally, the entrance is free, and it it has the best location: Next to the lake. Everything to make it ideal for camping and partying a wsummer weekend in Echternach. It takes place every year in august and follows a certain shedule: Rock concerts on Friday, house music on Saturday and Disco music on Sunday.
